{ BEAUTY } ALL THE GLOWY GOOD STUFF - | She is, Sarah Jane
13 Sep

I get comments all the time about how great and glowly my skin looks, sorry to disappoint you all… But it’s 93.8% fake! Yep. I basically shower myself in illuminator from head-to-toe each day before I leave the house. Ok that was slightly dramatic, but I do seek some special help from a few beauty faves. I might be ‘glowing’ from within, but at nearly 35 weeks pregnant and not getting more than 1.5 hours sleep at a time… I need ALL the help I can get. Below is my beauty breakdown – about the product, the cost and my tips and tricks. You’re welcome.

Giorgio Armani // FLUID SHEER : This bad boy is a liquid illuminator and complexion perfector. It’s lightweight and super versatile – can be used as a bronzer, blush or eyeshadow base. I actually mix it into my foundation for an all over glow/bronze finish. If you are going for a natural day-to-day look, this would even work as a contour over some BB Cream – use a beauty blender brush. While you are there shopping this liquid gold, make sure you purchase their Designer Lift foundation – it’s the only foundation I will wear. It’s $110, but last forever and looks beautiful. In the Fluid Sheer I went for the no. 3 Gold Bronze and it was around the $62 price mark. David Jones Chadstone & CBD stock Giorgio Armani.

By Terry // LIFTESSENCE OIL ELIXIR : Don’t hate me, this one is pretty flippin’ expensive… But it’s amazing! I am not a moisturiser kinda-gal where my face is concerned, preferring oils. This oil has been formulated with the essence of ruby rose cells, rosehip oil and white rose extracts, providing all day nourishment to the skin. Five SISJ stars in the hydrating department and it smells good enough to eat – oh, and it’s pink. Hello, WINNER! It’s… It’s… $205 (ahhhh-eeeeep!) from Mecca. When I use this in the AM, I don’t even need a primer on top! It’s fab.

Yves Saint Laurent // TOUCHE ECLAT BLUR PRIMER : This stuff is thebomb.com. Yes, it’s at the pricey end of primers – but totes worth it. It’s $72 from David Jones and worth every cent. I only use this on special occasions and when I want my make-up to last for an extended period. It’s crazy glowly and provides the most silky base for your foundation etc. It really does reduce the appearance of pores and smoothes the surface texture to create a flawless finish. It’s a gel consistency and it needs about 10 – 20 seconds to dry/set. GO.

Charlotte Tilbury // EYES TO MESMERISE EYE SHADOW : If you haven’t used the CT Eyes to Mesmerise collection, well you haven’t lived. I was always a Guerlain/Burberry eye shadow kinda-gal (and still am), but this range so saaaa-weet. I have almost every colour, the above being ‘Rose Gold’ – a limited edition which has now sold out, soz. I also love the ‘Jean’ and ‘Marie Antoinette’ colours from this range. These are $44 each and I swear will last me ten years, you only need the smallest amount and it spreads beautifully – without getting stuck in your eyelid creases! It contains Vitamin E which hydrates and provides antioxidant protection from free radicals.

There you go. You heard it here first. Kind of. Now, don’t tell anyone I don’t wake-up like this!
