SISJ BEAUTY : COLOR THERAPY BY SALLY HANSEN >

When I take a step back and assess my overall beauty regime, I can see how one would totes put me in the ‘high maintenance category’. However, I like to creatively re-phrase that – beautifully organised. I have a few non-negotiables and one of them is GORGEOUS NAILS. Do I also love heading out to some mummy-me-time beauty appointments? Duh, of course. However, it’s not always something that I can work into my week (particularly now that I’m into Orange is the New Black, ha!). This Color Therapy range allows you to enjoy an in-home spa experience, without moving a muscle or putting on a bra. I have included some of my fave colours, some more info about the range and also a super simple how-to. Enjoy!

ABOUT THE COLOR THERAPY RANGE:

There are 14 stunning shades available, but today I’ve included my fave and ones that work from a practical perspective during the working week. When applied correctly { MY HOW-TO BELOW }, you should get up to 10 days with this range and they are chip-proof (woo!). Unlike other nail treatments available in salons, these will not damage your nails and event improve nail quality. If you’ve read any of my beauty posts about hair or skincare, you would know I am beyond OBSESSED with Argan Oil. It smells incredible and it works wonders on just about every body part!

HOW-TO:

Get comfy on the couch or the floor – whatever floats your boat. Of course if you are a sensible adult you would probably set this up in your bathroom, but I like to create my own SJ salon that includes Netflix on in the background, a top knot, sans brazier, slippers and PJs. Simple. *Before you start, ensure all old nail polish has been removed (inc. shellac or SNS).

  • STEP ONE: Apply one coat of your chosen shade and let it dry for 2-3 min
  • STEP TWO: Apply the second coat of the same shade and wait for it to dry 100%
  • STEP THREE: Once it’s complete dry/set, add a top coat for added protection and a glossy finish
  • FINAL STEP: Don’t forget to add a touch of the cuticle oil once the top coat has dried. This will instantly give your nails and hands a fresh and healthier look (and it works!)
THE COLOURS OF COLOR THERAPY:

I’ve obviously featured my favourite shades (pinks and natural shades), but the collection also features some beautiful reds, deep purples and blues for those who aren’t afraid to rock a bold colour! They of course are also perfect for winter.
