I can’t hold it back anymore-ore-ore… Let it go, let it go-o-o. If you haven’t already noticed, clearly I refuse to let it go!

Last week I dressed-up as Elsa (#justbecause), and had way too much fun – so I’m doing it again for Halloween! To anyone reading this post who hasn’t seen the Disney’s Frozen (it’s just the highest grossing animated film of all time, but no biggie), you totes won’t get any of my hilarious lyrical references throughout this post, so my apologies. On another note, Happy Halloween Eve everyone! We usually manage to knock-off Frozen about 378 times a day in our household and each 378 times my daughter informs me (way too convincingly if you ask me!), that Elsa is actually HER MUMMY! Bless. So, here I am and I’m sharing it all for a bit of beauty fun!

HAIR STYLIST: Mhairi McQueen from Koh in Elwood & MAKE-UP ARTIST: Zoe Karlis { tomorrow we are going full-glitz with the purple and pink eye shadow – wish me luck! }

COSTUME: I purchased mine from Halloween Costumes { www.halloweencostumes.com }

PRODUCTS & HOW-TO: Mhairi is a not only the owner of Koh in Elwood, she is also the master behind my colour and most of my blowaves. Oh, AND she is a Platinum Key Educator for Kevin Murphy who also happens to have toured the world assisting the great man himself. So basically, she’s the BEST. Below is Mhairi’s Elsa HOW-TO >

Ideally start this look with ‘dirty’ hair, as this will add texture and be easier to style and manipulate. Clean/fresh hair may be too soft – alternatively, just add more styling products to prep

Add a 20inch Halo Weft (Amazing Hair is the brand we used)

Then use the Kevin Murphy Resort Spray and Fresh Hair to prep all the hair

Once happy with texture prep, use a large tong to add movement and volume – these don’t need to be perfectly symmetrical

French Braid the hair down one side or to the back (very difficult to do it down the back if it’s a DIY!)

Use the end of the comb to loosen/move any hair or gaps that need filling – particularly the swooping pieces from the hairline to the back (bobby pins are required here)

To finish, apply Kevin Murphy Bedroom Hair and a spritz of Shimmer Me Blonde for that extra bit of Elsa sparkle!

OR, if you are like me (hopeless in the hair department!), you can make an appointment with Mhairi and get her to do it for you, ha { @mhairi_mcqueen }
