CHARLOTTE ROSE X FAWN & FINCH T-BARS >

While my darling Charlotte’s ten little toes will never have the opportunity to walk in these beautiful shoes, it is because of her that so many others will. Today is the Fawn & Finch photoshoot for this amazing project and it also marks 16 weeks since we lost Charlotte. It only seemed fitting to share all this exciting news and product info with you. Meagan, a beautiful mamma and bossbabe of Fawn & Finch, together with Cass Deller Design, have so selflessly contributed to Charlotte Rose’s legacy, whilst also helping other families who walk this lonely path. We are hoping to raise $10,000 for SANDS Victoria from the sales of these shoes, so please get on-board this invaluable cause and project. P.S we are planning on launching pre-sale for these shoes on 12th May!

MAMMA MEAGAN, TELL US ABOUT YOUR STORY:

“Fawn and Finch started almost three years ago now, just after my first born (Willow) was born, we came up with the name first and then played around with what we wanted it to be etc. and then final settled on creating somewhere for parents to shop for their children that would have them covered from ‘top to toe’. The style of our brand is very much inspired by items and accessories I would use for my daughter, I really do love just basic items for kids that can be worn with multiple outfits, therefore giving our customers best value for their money as its not a ‘one off’ item they can use it over and over again with multiple different looks. I began drawing up some ideas in early 2015 and we launched our first design the ‘Bootiemocc’ later that year followed closely by the ’T-Bar’. Each shoe style is designed by myself and sometimes with my husband’s input (he’s most proud of his high-top design!). Overall this business is really like a third baby for us, it is something that I invest a lot of time and love into.

Our little baby girl Blair was born last year on Saturday the 10th of September at 29+1 weeks. She came into the world far too early due to a array of complications I experienced during my pregnancy (complete placenta previa, clots forming from bleeds due to the previa and ultimately lack of blood flow to her due to my placenta failing). Blair was born weighing in at a tiny 790g, 35cm long with a 25cm head circumference, she might have been teeny-tiny but she was a strong willed little girl. She breezed through her NICU stay (9 weeks all up) and was home two weeks before her due date. Since being home she has just been a dream, such a happy baby and doing so so well considering her early start; it really was the best outcome we could have hoped for under the circumstances”.

WHO ARE SANDS & WHAT DO THEY DO: Sands is a miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death charity. They operate across Australia, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working to improve the care bereaved parents receive by healthcare professionals and breaking the silence and taboo of baby death in today’s society. Sands volunteers offer a real sense of understanding and hope; they too have been through the devastating loss of a baby. An estimated one in four pregnancies (103,000) ends in miscarriage in Australia each year, while approximately 3,000 babies are either stillborn or die in the first 28 days after birth. Despite the fact that the death of a baby affects so many Australians, it remains a topic that is rarely spoken about in public { READ MORE ON STILLBIRTH: CLICK HERE }

SHIPPING: We’ve already had a few questions regarding international shipping (outside of Australia) and we are so excited to announce this WILL be available! Fawn & Finch’s standard postage cost on their website doesn’t include a tracking number, so should customers require one please contact them via email after you’ve made your purchase, so they can invoice you separately for any additional charges { CLICK HERE FOR ALL SHIPPING Qs }

CHARLOTTE ROSE T-BAR SIZING: This particular range is a limited edition for Fawn & Finch and will come in the following sizes, see below. Due to the fact this is a limited edition shoe, there will only be 600 manufactured in mixed sizes (pre-order is available). All of the shoe sizes that are coloured ‘PINK’ are a soft soled shoe (the same material to make the shoe is used on the soles). JFYI FROM THE F&F TEAM: It’s recommended that children wear soft soled shoes till the age of three (of course unless you are advised otherwise then please don’t do so). The remaining shoes will come with a hard sole. The measurements below are for the inner-sole measurement of the shoe, so we suggest you measure your little one’s foot on a flat surface and then purchase the size based on the best measurement for them (P.S add on 1cm to that measurement for tights, socks, growing etc.).

0-6m: inner-sole: 10.9cm / 6-12m: inner-sole: 11.7cm / 12-18m: inner-sole: 12.5cm / 18-24m: inner-sole: 13.5cm / 2-3yr: innersole 14.9cm

3-4yr: inner-sole:17.0cm / 4-5yr inner-sole: 17.8cm / 5-6yr inner-sole: 18.6cm / 6-7yr inner-sole 19.4cm
