MY CHRISTMAS MESSAGE & 2015 WRAP-UP >
WHAT. A. YEAR. 2015. Another one gone and a new one about to begin. It’s a time of utter chaos, often heightened feelings of sadness or happiness (or both), and one that forces us to reflect on the year that was. For me it’s nearly impossible not to become a stage five clinger throughout the month of December – so here goes! (P.S as I paused to write this soppy blog post, I can’t help but be distracted from my seven month old making fart noises, rolling around in bed like a silly seal & auditioning for what appears to be The Blair Witch Project 2 on the monitor!…), #mumlife hey?!
PAUSING TO PONDER…
The last tweleve months for SISJ have been huge! On a personal level I grew a human, pushed it out, had it photographed and then shared it with the world – amongst other things like cutting my hair shorter and still not learning how to cook #again #groundbreakingstuff. On a professional level, I have shared ALL of this with YOU – my wonderful, supportive and loyal readers. While I’ve had my moments (otherwise known as #mammarants), 99.9% of the feedback, emails, comments and messages I have received have been SO wonderful. There is not one day that goes by where I am not grateful for YOUR support. There is also not one day that goes by where I don’t think “why the F do these people care what I have to say, anyway?”, haha, but don’t go anywhere paweeese! Every click, every like and every follower means I have a new friend and my little bubble that is SISJ, grows. By no means am I an expert on anything (fashion, kids, beauty, boiling an egg), but I will give everything a go. Everything I write and every image I share comes from a good place. I thank you for allowing me to share my experiences, advice and respecting my life/style choices. It can get very lonely in mummy land at home every day, so connecting with you all on some level on social media is awesome.
I hope 2016 I can take SISJ to new levels and provide entertaining, inspiring and helpful content. I will try not to get all stage five on yo’ asses, but… I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS! Thank you again for allowing me to be me, and showing our beautiful daughter that people (mainly the sisterhood) ARE amazing. She has sooo many awesome e-aunties, so cheers!
Stay safe, don’t count calories and see you in 2016.
