HOW TO GET SOFT, BOUNCY, STUNNING HAIR

SISJ BEAUTY – HOW TO GET SOFT, BOUNCY, STUNNING HAIR >

I am nothing but 100% honest when it comes to my hair, so by echoing my usual hairy philosophies (that I am a BLOWAVE – SLASH – BLONDE addict!), this should come as no surprise to my readers. However, when you don’t wake-up like this, one must always have a beauty bag equipped to cope with just about anything! Dove is (and has been for some time) amongst my hair go-to assortment and really does leave you with fresh, clean and beautifully soft hair. Like motherhood and life in general, maintaining stunning (even if coloured) hair does not have to be something for the ‘too hard basket’ – it’s all about using the right products and planning ahead. Below is my review on Dove’s Daily Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I’ve also included some of my fave big and bouncy styling tips, post use. Enjoy!

THE DESIGN THAT GOES INTO DOVE:

The Dove Hair range has been designed to repair all types of damaged hair and it also improves the overall healthy feel and appearance. One of the secrets is Dove’s conditioner technology; Microsheets are flat conditioning structures (rather than the usual circular-style conditioning structures), so this means more of the hair shaft actually comes into contact with the conditioner. That means great news for easier combing & fewer knots. This root-to-tip therapy absolutely improves smoothness, reduces breakage and can equip you with the right defences for future damage (which if you are me, is likely to be just around the corner!).

It’s important to remember though, there are some differences between dry and damaged hair. Damaged hair is often due to excessive chemical services, which weaken and snap the hair (which you can still vaguely see in the banner image of my hair above). However, after using the Dove Damage Therapy over the last two weeks, you can literally see the improvement of the hair below and around some of the split ends. Dry hair though is more about moisture loss, over-styling and seasonal/environmental changes. Basically if damaged hair is your problem then you really need to use products that repair and restructure the hair shaft (try Dove’s Intensive Repair shampoo & conditioner if you’re struggling with extreme damage).

Don’t be afraid to try new things and ask questions. These are just another two fabulous products in the greater Dove hair care range. The images speak for themselves – please also note: I have actually had three lots of colour and toner services over the last few weeks to go lighter (so my hair is bouncing on eggshells, so to speak!). Try it and trust me.

MY STYLING TIPS FOR BIG, BOUNCY, BABE-A-LICIOUS  & HEALTHY HAIR:
  • Don’t comb/brush out your curls (rollers, tong or iron) too soon – let them cool, this will ensure the bounce will last longer
  • When used correctly, a flat iron can often give you more shine
  • Balayage is a good option for blondes, as colour services are required less frequently (using a toner between to brighten up in brasiness)
