INTERIOR DESIGN / MG’S ROOM : FROM NURSERY TO PRE-SCHOOL

“And though she be but little, SHE IS FIERCE” – Shakespeare.

MG & MAMMA // FIERCE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! Lord, give me strength! HA! { @nicolepasphotography }

Today (500 years later, I know…) I’ve finally shared some images of MG’s bedroom! This is and always has been a collaborative effort. MG just happens to LOVE pink and all the cliché ‘girlie things’, just like her mamma! I’ve kept many pieces from her ‘nursery’, which evolved beautifully and naturally into her pre-school style bedroom. I’ve listed where I purchased everything from (IF I could remember!). Just in the last few weeks we’ve taken off her bed bumpers (safety bedrails), which I’m now regretting – it’s much easier to get out and come into our bed! UGH!

Much like the rest of our home, there’s a mix of French Provincial and Contemporary interior design, styled back with a few Moroccan accents (wallpaper in MG’s & Max’s rooms, chest of drawers in Max’s room). I’ve also got a few Aztec style pieces – love me some tribal feels! MG’s only criticism of her new pre-school bedroom was > “I love my new office mummy, but where is my computer?”… MATE! Threenagers! Good grief, what next?!

Mia Grace’s bedroom – from nursery to pre-school, HEAVENLY!

MG & Max have the same wallpaper, in different colours. More Moroccan accents!
Giraffe: MYER, doll house: Toy City in Elsternwick (this was our present to MG for her first Christmas in 2015), this chest of drawers is from Bequeath & Bestow in Gardenvale – but I believe they have since close down… , jewellery box: Pottery Barn

I bought this print from a little shop at the South Melbourne market and had it framed – I can’t remember the name, sorry! It’s right next to the big flower shop in the middle!
A selection of mamma’s books and the Peter Rabbit collection, bookends from Frankie & CoCo in Hampton
This is one of the first things I bought for MG’s nursery before she was born – it’s from MYER and I’ve seen them there recently
This incredible illustration was by Samii Lund – fine art illustrator

Yep, she’s OBSESSED with Unicorns… UGH!
3 x wall prints: I bought these on ETSY for her nursery, desk & chair: Pottery Barn (Christmas 2018 present from mummy & daddy)
I actually bought this for Charlotte’s nursery, but it now sits in MG’s room. It’s from the same place at South Melbourne Market the Flamingo print is from – I don’t know the name, sorry!
I bought this GIANT faux flower from a bookshop in Elwood – The Grumpy Sailor. It was part of their Mother’s Day 2018 VM in the front window, and I HAD to have it! I don’t know who made it, but I assume someone local. Soz…
The gorgeous personalised Easter box is from Jack & Jill Boxes (Melbourne owned & made), tooth/curl boxes: Pottery Barn Kids
Bedding: Adairs
