I’d love to say I’m back at it – getting down and dirty that is… But sadly not. Bending down just to shave my legs is a full 30min exercise right now. SO, I set-up some pregnant-friendly messy play yesterday and we totes GOT IT DONE! In today’s post I’ve also included some pics from our crafternoon sessions along the way, DIY birthday party styling activities for you and your little people, as well as some local messy play classes available around Melbourne.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO GET MESSY / I’m a clean freak and love my surroundings to look like the perfect display home. However, when MG is up and awake, WE GO NUTS! Whether it’s baking, playing with toys/imaginative play or messy play, we get into it one million percent. Clothes can be washed, hands can be cleaned, toys can be packed away… Making beautiful memories is what really matters and living in the moment – as corny as that sounds.

During our messy sessions I use a plastic drop sheet (the jellybean one you can see in pics – purchased from Spotlight), old towels/clothes, a smock and plenty of wipes! I also always have a bath run and ready to jump into – the both of us! I would suggest always buying washable and safe paints/crafts. My fave places to buy these: Spotlight, Officeworks, Target, IKEA and local $2 shop (if you are Bayside, the one on Hampton St just up from Frowtibe is fab).
