“CHAOS IS NOT A SIGN OF FAILURE, IT’S A SIGN OF CHILDREN” – ain’t that the truth?! #MUMLIFE
I’ve made no secret about it… I’m a total hack in the kitchen! My skills definitely fall under the ‘messy play portfolio’, not the ‘culinary portfolio’ of parenthood. Eh, you can’t have it all! Three months into life with two kids and the struggle to have a balanced/yummy dinner on the table each night is REAL – let alone amazing school lunches! Maxi does his last nap around 4.45 – 5.30pm, and from there it quickly transcends into UTTER CHAOS! Ya’ feel me?!
MG started Reception (3yr old kinder) last week and is there three days a week. The week prior to her commencing I was FREAKING THE FLIP OUT! She is the fussiest little eater, and combined with my hatred of cooking/the kitchen, this created errr-ummm, some serious anxiety! I did a big SOS call-out on social media for some suggestions, and the responses were overwhelmingly amazing! People suggested accounts to follow, recipes, teachers were giving advice on what THEY do/don’t like and what works, and fellow L Plater school mums just having a giggle and poking fun at themselves – WHAT AN AWESOME COMMUNITY I am surrounded by! THANK YOU! In today’s post, I’ve included some of these accounts for #INSPO and few pics of what I’ve put together over the last few days. I still have no idea what I am doing, but do we ever?! A big thank you to everyone who shared their advice, made me LOL and to these wonderful accounts who are slowly helping my stress rash disappear (for at least three days a week anyway!). SJ x
JFYI > I purchased MG’s Bento Box and name tags/stickers from Stuck On You, her personalised library bag/lunch bag from Tiny Me.
