SISJ FASHION: SPRING-TIME STYLING WITH TARGET >

Orange IS the new black – you heard it here first! I cannot get enough of this vibrant hue – from head to toe. Whether it’s a faded pastel, or a saturated deep orange, it will be a spring/summer wardrobe stand-out. I am also loving some baby blue for spring/summer and a chic white tee is always a winner. When you are styling baby blue or any pastels, try and style back with a neutral palette. It’s all about making that piece the feature, with the rest complimenting it in the background. Taupe, cream and white are all great options. For a bolder look, style with that same colour in a different hue (eg. I would style my matching gingham set below/above with a 3/4 navy blue jacket etc.). Here’s today’s outfit breakdown >

Shift dresses have to be one of the best inventions ever, right?! Every girl loves them. They are effortlessly chic and so versatile. I love the above look for the office, weekend lunch or even Oaks Day with a fab hat. A wardrobe must for all-year round. I also love being a tee and jeans kinda-gal, another outfit style that says “I am a total babe and I don’t even need to try”! However, when it comes to tees I try to avoid colour. I like a neutral colour palette for the weekend-chic look, so it’s got to be white/black/grey/navy and denim. Boom. A winner!

I described this look on the day of my shoot as feeling like a “Spanish goddess”! I love, love, love this look and the colour. While it’s vibrant and bold, I purposely styled it in a way that can still be understated and effortless. This is the perfect Sunday session outfit, or a casual evening dinner for those spring/summer evenings (you’ve gotta love daylight savings!). To dress it down, style it back with some Chucks or sandals.

The gingham print I am wearing above is soooooo cute! The second I saw it in the store I -b-lined, taking whoever and whatever in my path! This is a matching set (skirt and top). Another fab thing is the scuba material – an extremely flattering fabric for all shapes and sizes. I posted this pic on Instagram yesterday and had such positive feedback. Get in there quick ladies, they will be snapped-up before you know it!
